In fact, this should not be characterized as science fiction at all. It is outstanding historical fiction that is deep and moving and keeps gaining momentum as it goes. It looks great (love me some period costumes and sets) and the acting and storytelling are great - tense space action and tense interpersonal drama too. If you’re a fan of this, definitely check out the novel The Calculating Stars, which is also an alternate history of the space program where women take a greater role. "

"I absolutely LOVE this drama series about NASA and the space program in an alternative history! They slightly change historical events such as Russia getting to the moon first. And, how that affected the NASA program going forward. By the third season (and decades later) they are headed to Mars. Did I say how much I love this series?!! Available on Apple."
