"Oh my. This managed to get a tear out of me. This story was sooooo good I felt involved. If this doesn't get a third season I would be okay with it. Can't say that usually about anime because they typically end them in the worst places within the arc, but not this. The second season ended in a very good place. And I know this is a HUGE leap of comparison but this final episode reminded me of The Color Purple. Not in specifics but in the way Thorfinn developed through the years, the hardships, slavery, finding himself, making new friends which help give him direction, and family. This was an epic story and an adventure you felt like you were a part of. "

"Just finished this and it was really good! The message was so important. It took me a while to finish, but it was so worth it. To see Thorfin get the happiness he deserves, I can’t wait for more in the coming season (hopefully they are making one) Season 1 was a little bit better than season 2, but really so worth the watch. I think the setting with the more historical Viking setting was also super cool to see. "
