Jessica HIn the murderbot series, but this was the first full length book rather than just a novella. I think this one will have more action and fun stuff since I know you weren't overly fond of the first novella.

AngelThis is the start to a looong sci-fi series, excellent story arcs throughout, sub-genres in specific books but mostly a space opera. The narrator is great and consistent throughout. Another good starting point in the series would be Warriors Apprentice, which is the first book with the main MC's POV
