Azelyn KleinIt may be a kid's book, but hear me out. It's got a great juxtaposition of nature and technology, the importance of family and hints of man (or robot) versus nature.
Jessica H...I dunno about that, pix
Jessica HI'm qualifying this answer by saying it ultimately has a hopeful message, but you go through a LOT of darkness and hopelessness and they needed to turn to each other to get through all the endless hopelessness. So if you are looking for an uplifting happy book, this isn't it.
Jessica HOk I havent read this one yet, but it's by one of my favorite authors and she tends to do happier, sillier things. The way she talks about this one is it was inspired by k-pop bands, so that sounds like it would be a happier, more hopeful thing.

Teresa ProkopankoMonica Hughes in general is really good at hope in her sci fi. She did short YA novels but they're excellent on the whole
