"I needed a "fun" book, and this one delivered. It has several serious notes, but they were balanced. I loved the anticipation and tension throughout, and I enjoyed Josephine's character a lot. I thought the jump to "love" was super duper fast, so I found myself wondering if they actually knew each other at all at the end. The religion aspect was well done, but it did bother me how they just solved everything with a prayer. Prayers aren't a way to just make everything line up the way you want. I'll refrain from outlining all my thoughts, but it did bother me during some moments. I kinda wanted something to go not the exact way they hoped so that they'd reflect on the purpose of prayer."
