"I have loved all of Sarah Adams' books and somehow I loved this one even more. The characters come to life and have such chemistry but it isn't forced or rushed. The side characters are wonderful and I hope we get stories of the sisters falling in love because I don't want to be done with this family yet. This book is absolute perfection and I can't wait to order it once it is published to have on my shelf and read again and again (and maybe lend to friends). This is a must read. "
"love this book! I was a big fan of Sarah Adam’s other book, Cheat Sheet and have read a few of her other books that I liked as well. I can appreciate how she makes all of her books closed door and so they are appropriate for teens of all ages. I would definitely recommend this one and I’d give it a 4.5/5 ⭐️ something about it just made you want to get under a cozy blanket and read for hours. it was a fast couple day read for me. I was hooked from the first chapter and enjoyed the whole book through! I loved the character development for Amelia and Noah and how they grew together and helped each other out. I am definitely hoping for a sequel ;) EDIT: just realized there is a sequel featuring Annie and that this is going to be a series! gotta go read Practice Makes Perfect now!"
"This was so wonderful to read, yes it took me a while to finish but when I was reading the last few chapters i just felt so much love for these characters and their story. Everything is so cute, and goes so perfect. Dont even get me started on the lake scene!!! Amelia is so sweet and I adored her love for Audrey Hepburn, she reminds me so much of myself. Overall this was such a cute one but I recommend reading it in order ( when in rome -> practice makes perfect ) which i didn’t do. Its definitely a clean romance !! 0/5 🌶️"
"It's a sweet and heartwarming story. It took me a little longer than it would've so my experience reading it was a little different stopping every so many minutes but those very few moments when I could just straight-up read were great because the story had me pulled in. I would rate this a 10/10 if it was just a tiny bit longer. I rate this a solid 9.5 and I 100% recommend reading some of her other books they are great! "

"I LOVEDD this book, haven’t read a book this good in so long. 5/5, no spice, and took me two days to finish. It was ADORABLE 🥹"
"When I tell you I could not put this book down, I really couldn’t. I flashed through the pages so quick and am happy to say this is the fastest I’ve ever read a book. SO, SO, SO GOOD! The rating for this book goes beyond and way off the scale. I highly recommend this book as it got me out of my reading slump and had me HOOKED. The way Sarah Adams is able to portray the emotions and put the words together so beautifully had me emotional and craving for more. This definitely goes into my top 3 books! "

"4.5 ⭐️✨"
"I love finding books that just bring joy. The chemistry between Noah and Amelia was unreal, and I loved how they complemented each others' personalities. I also loved that there was more to the plot than just two people meeting and ******* after each other like some romance books do. I mostly read this book because I recently bought the second book, and I'm already obsessed with Sarah Adams and want to read everything else she has written!"

"Adorable rom-com! Fun to read, and somehow the author made even cynical me believe that maybe two people could actually fall in love in a week! She's that good at the chemistry between the lovable main characters."

"4/5<br/>Amelia and Noah are so cute. The beginning is a little cringey but it gets so much better. Amelia’s relationship with her family and team added depth to her character that I appreciated. I like that Amelia and Noah’s sisters developed a relationship, and I hope the two younger ones break out of their shell in the future! Noah and Amelia deserve all the love and happiness"

"It wasn't the worst romance book I've ever read but it also wasn't the best. It was just kinda eh. I did this one on audio while I was at work to pass the time, and I know that if I was actually reading it, I probably wouldn't have gotten past the first couple of chapters. I wasn't a big fan of any of the characters, the romance between the main characters just wasn't really there. It all just seemed a little bland. But it had cute little moments, and if you're just looking for a cute little story you might like it."
"I read this book for a challenge. So this is my first Sarah Adams and I plan to read more.
This was an easy read. I listened to the audiobook and the voices were perfect for the lead characters, Amelia Rose and Noah. The narrators really added to the flavor of this love story.
When in Rome, was a Charming story. Predictable, yes, but charming nonetheless. This is a great book for a break from the usual tragic, over sexed, emotional books I have been reading. It’s light hearted and sweetly told. I found myself just in love with this little Kentucky town and enamored by the gentleness of the people. This book had me laugh out loud and cry too. It was a joy to read this book. I can’t wait for my weather App to tell me that it is going to be a rainy weekend so I can curl up with another of Sarah Adams wonderful stories."

"If all small town romances were written like this one - they would be all I ever read. It probably helps that I accidentally read the second book of the series last year, so I was already familiar with the townsfolk and their antics, but all of the loving meddling was so heartwarming in this one as opposed to the “don’t hurt her” energy in the next book. The town and its people give me strong Stars Hallow vibes, I definitely recommend it for anyone who loves Gilmore Girls. <br/><br/>I loved the banter and the back and forth playfulness between the two main characters, but what I loved more was how respectful they were of each other’s boundaries. Noah stole my heart away forever with how he took care of Amelia after her first night out at Hanks. And then the scene with the bandaid? Amelia had me swooning. Both scenes were done so well that you can tell the author cares about consent, without having to actually have the discussion of it included in the book. <br/><br/>That said, while I truly adored both main characters, as someone who wears their heart on their sleeve, I was growing very annoyed with their inability to admit their feelings for one another. The repetitive “I can’t like him/her” from both of them went on for far too long and it made the second half of the book really drag for me.<br/><br/>I didn’t love it as much as I did Practice Makes Perfect, but that’s what I get for reading the series out of order. Every scene that Annie was in just made me think about the next book and how she actually feels about being the baby of the family. <br/><br/>Overall, I recommend this book to anyone looking for a contemporary romance that has: <br/><br/>"

"Small town, grumpy x sunshine, pop star x baker, a bit of a slow burn"
"Sarah Adams novela always leave me with a smile on my face, and this one did not disappoint!<br/><br/>Amelia is a world famous pop star in desperate need of a break before her upcoming tour. She channels the spirit of Audrey Hepburn and takes off for Rome…Kentucky. <br/><br/>Enter Noah, the slightly reclusive pie shop owner in Rome. When Amelia’s car breaks down in his front yard, he chivalrously offers to help her out—out of town as fast as possible that is.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, the speed of car repair shops don’t always match the desires of its patrons, so Amelia and Noah end up shacking up for a few weeks. What follows is a beautifully tense and emotional journey for the two as they explore what they have unexpectedly found and are afraid to hold on to.<br/><br/>Thank you to NetGalley for the digital advanced reader copy!!"
