"This novel is truly beautiful. I was misled to believe that this book was merely a love story. It’s so much more than that. It’s a novel about all kinds of love (romantic, platonic, familial, etc.), the price of fame, and above all, truth and the importance of living life truthfully in order to find happiness. I was unsure if this novel was going to live up to its life-altering reputation, but, as I reached the truly jaw-dropping ending, I found myself understanding what all the hype was about. Go into this book as blind as possible. It is a stunning whirlwind."
"One of the longest standing books on my tbr, finally read it. I'm underwhelmed in contrast to the ton of reviews saying this is the best thing they've ever read and whatnot. The twist was not good, the ending felt very rushed, and Monique is such a boring and dull character when placed against Evelyn, it made it hard to continue reading through her pov, especially at the end when I knew I wouldn't be getting any more of Evelyns pov. Solid 4 stars, but I wouldn't push it."
"Perfect for Liz Taylor fans"

"I truly loved this book!! A step above a beach read, with a dynamic plot and complicated characters. Taylor Jenkins Reid is a master at making you feel like you’re right there in the story, without over complicating anything. The story is compelling and easy to follow- yet surprises you with each turn it takes!"
