Plain Truth - Likewise Book Reviews
"Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. With that being said, this book has been my least favorite of hers. The first half was extremely hard for me to get through. Probably because I didn’t like the MC. I think the paranormal add ins were unnecessary and didn’t add anything substantial to the plot. It picked up when the trial started and things began unfolding, then it was easier to read but overall it was just okay to me. The twist at the end to me was not unexpected. "

"This story was frustrating throughout the entire book. It started to come together at the end and had a typical Jodi ending. Good read if you like predictable "

"Had the great plot twists like most of her books. Really gave great information about the Amish community and family secrets. "
"I read this book because it is based in Lancaster County, where I live. Parts were exasperating to me because some of the geograpy was incorrect and the author got some parts of Amish culture wrong. However, if I was not familiar with Lancaster County or the Amish, this wouldn't be an issue for me. It was a page turner though so that is why it is getting 4 stars from me."
