Lord Of The Flies Is A Study On The Nature Of Evil And The Form In Which It Is Expressed In Modern Society. What Author Tries To Show In The Novel Is That Violence Is Built Into Our System, Into Our Genes And In Our Blood, And That Age Has Little To Do When The Innate Violence Would Erupt.

"I was about 16 when I first read this book and since that time I have thought of it as a thoughtful look into the primal elements human of nature and how easy people can devolve into wild ruffians to survive and maintain order. It also poses questions regarding the effectiveness of democracy to govern when the majority has become irrational. In the end it is the virtue of the main character that stands out—-not his physical strength, but mental tenacity. He does not need to survive in the end."
