The Vagrant (The Vagrant Trilogy) - Likewise Book Reviews
"I really enjoyed this book; it has an interesting world and cool characters. In a nutshell, the world was invaded from another world/dimension through a tear called the breach. Once the breach was opened entities called infernals came pouring into the world. Humanity stood against them with the aid from a God-like being called Gamma, one of the seven. Gamma ended up falling and being taken over by an infernal called the Usurper, and the world, for the most part, fell apart. The story follows a man who cannot speak, escorting a baby through this post-apocalyptic world. The book is written in the present tense, which can take a bit of getting used to but it should only take you a page or two to get used to it This is a very good book with an interesting world and characters. Definitely worth checking out."
"Really strong start, with great lore and a mysterious but thought-out world. The Vagrant also has an oddly sweet found family storyline that works with really well in this dark word. However, closer to the end of the book it feels as if it starts to drag a bit with fairly uninteresting side characters. But overall, The Vagrant is still a great start to a trilogy "
