jmee 1/2 World building is very ambitious, and I’d say it’s worth the read for that alone! However, I’ll warn you that I personally find myself annoyed w/ the characters. It could be because the story contains beings called “spren” that are going through a “reawakening,” so most conversations feel as though things are being explained at a child’s level. But for me even the adult characters have an immature feel to them, despite most having tragic and/or dark backstories.

jmee 2/2 If you’ve read Wheel of Time and liked it, I would imagine you’ll be fine though. Although the stories and characters are vastly different, it’s easy to see why Sanderson’s writing was such a good fit for finishing that series.

Brian strong Imo, it started off strong but the 3rd and 4th books did not hold my interest

Fiona Rucker It’s a very good read but you’re getting yourself into a very dense world that will be difficult to return to once more of the series is released. I’m waiting until I have a large block of time to knock out the next books
