EmilyIf you like something more fast paced this probably isn't for you, but I enjoyed it a lot. The main character is objectively a bad person but it's fun to see inside her head. The ending caught me off guard and overall I'd say 4.5/5 stars.

EmilyNot what I expected from reading the description but that wasn't a bad thing. Not many characters are especially likeable, but it reflects exactly how Frances would feel about everyone given her situation; it feels natural that they're unlikable.

EmilyVery quick read that deals with some serious topics without being too much. I can appreciate when books can get a heavy point across without being graphic. The ending is left a little ambiguous but I liked it. It answered all of the questions from the beginning and left us with one new one, which I think makes the story more memorable.

EmilyWow, I have no idea where to start with this. I loved it, the story, the characters, the pacing, I can't name a single thing I disliked. For a long time I avoided the fantasy genre like the plague because of its reputation for being misogynistic and heavily triggering (GoT looking at you) but this was the complete opposite and I'm so glad I read it.

EmilyQuick easy read, finished in one sitting. Not my typical pick, but it was entertaining. Expected more spice, even though that's most of what the book is it felt basic and not very detailed. I liked it plot-wise and I'll be reading the next book.

EmilyI liked this one better than the first one. It had a more science/medical mystery feel than thriller/ghost story, but it tied into the first book very well. It definitely still has the vibe of being written by a man, if you know what I mean. There were some side eye worthy moments, but nothing close to the level of the first book. Overall I did like this one.

Emily5/5 for me. Full of raw emotion and feminine rage. Though I predicted many major plot points before getting 100 pages in, I greatly enjoyed this read. Would definitely check for trigger warnings beforehand but I highly recommend.
