Vendetta GoodmanMy heart is breaking with this movie. Tyler Perry once again outdid himself with this one. I’ve seen this happen in the real world. So many assuming and not many listening. I held my breath while watching most of the movie. She was doing her best and her best just didn’t make it. Oh lord I need to go outside and scream at the moon. Sad that this is a reality in too many cases.
Vendetta GoodmanThis movie is wrong in so many ways! It is absolutely perfect if you love satire. Gene Wilder and Cleavon Little are the perfect pair! With the addition of other well known actors, everything that is wrong (or thought wrong) with society today is in parody. I can’t say what my favorite scene is, there are many! I use this movie as a pick me up on down or heavy days. If you are a fan of satire then this is for you.
Vendetta GoodmanBased on a true story out of WWII, comes the story of a battalion of Black women thrown together mostly because of color. They were not respected or encouraged and they faced racism every day. Determined these women stood together and accomplish a nearly impossible task, facing criticism, threats and blows to the pride they took while doing this task. This movie was incredible. Made you wanna stand up with these women and slap silly the faces of ridicule. Beautifully written, impeccably acted a winner over and over in my book. A must watch!
Vendetta GoodmanThis movie was very well done! Mo’nique was perfect as the lead character Emma. Her performance was outstanding. What a surprising twist in the plot. I had never heard of this movie before today and I am glad I watched it!
Vendetta GoodmanThis movie was incredible. I had no idea that it was based on a true story (I must have missed that in the beginning) Denzel Washington and Forest Wittaker played their parts to perfection. I found myself glued to the screen. A movie of unyielding Triumph in a society riddled with racism and poverty. I was standing and cheering at the end!
Vendetta GoodmanI found this movie to be quite good. The more personal look into Armstrongs life was something I’d not even thought of before seeing this (including the creative liberties) took our American Hero and make him more reachable as a human being. The inside look from the point of view of this movie was a breath of fresh air. We’ve all learned the story of the first moon landing, but I found this movie to offer maybe a little more emotion for the audience. Perhaps this movie was redundant of all the others, but somehow I found it to be refreshing.
Vendetta GoodmanA wonderful family movie! A girl is having difficulties maneuvering through life’s ups and downs. She puts on a brave face and does her best to “not be a kid”. We’ve all been there, wanting to grow up but we don’t want to leave our childhood behind. Time passes, life charges forward and before we realize it our childhood is gone. The hopes and dreams we had as a child fade into the distance. Something though, triggers a reminder, a photo, a drawing, an abandoned toy, it jogs our memory so hard that we are flooded with the realization of what we’d forgotten. This movie is just that trigger. Our “IFs” are out there just waiting. Watch it and be prepared to smile!
Vendetta GoodmanI think this movie series was a bit drawn out. A lot of the stuff said was repeated multiple times. It’s a tragic story line and a quite unfortunate series of events. We recently had an incident like this happen in a nearby community. Hours and hours were spent searching, interrogating and looking for clues. It turns out it was bogus and the community was naturally quite upset that they had been duped. I understand they wanted to tell a story but I truly believe it could have been told in a two hour movie.
