"No because this book… this book… took me on a JOURNEY. Probably not best to read when you’re in an emotional state but oh man did my heart break reading this. The author paints a wonderfully tragic picture of the darkness and realities of war and how it affects families, friends, and communities. Incredible book though, loved it. "
"This book was difficult to read at times because of the tragedies that plague it, however, it was eye-opening to the horrors of the world that we sometimes turn away from. As people, we don’t want to face ugly truths and this book forces the reader to accept the realities of war. Alongside this, the plot twist near the end of the book was devastating yet very interesting. I wasn’t expecting it, however, it allowed the book to progress the way that it needed to."

" The story is captivating, and poignant and Katouh's writing will have you blazing through the pages. The only annoying thing was the incessant barrage of medical terms, supposedly used by a first year pharmacy student. It was a bit too much and it took away from the story. I can't imagine a 19 year old using words like, thoracic cavity, periosteum and medullary canal. I would still recommend reading this page-turner. "
