"Samara Weaving is fast becoming a favorite actress of mine. Choosing interesting roles in projects like The Babysitter, Ready Or Not, Mayhem, and Guns Akimbo to name a few. This movie and her role as Azrael only adds to her already impressive credits in films as a kick ass leading lady. Azrael is a notable movie for its complete lack of dialogue that still is able to tell a tale with minimal backstory and remain intriguing the entire time. Revenge movies are my jam and this one fits the bill nicely. A quick watch at just under an hour and a half with plenty of blood and gore. 8.5/10"

"I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. A lot of people will say this one is too much like a quiet place, but I strongly disagree. The action sequences were incredible, the horror was terrifying, and the gory kill scenes set this movie worlds apart. This movie was shot in a gritty way that helped the atmospheric tone of the movie . The mixture of religion and horror also helped make this movie and awesome watch."

"This was unique in a couple of ways. It deals with the people who are left here after the rapture and how they deal with it. It also contains no dialog. This puts alot of pressure on the direction and the actors to get thier point across and give us enough information to understand what's going on. And they almost pull it off. You do get enough with the context of each scene to follow the narrative. Things to come to an end with a question of what this means going forward for our protagonist and these burned ones. There did need to be a little bit more meat on the bone in some of these scenes. I mean, you do get just enough, but I can understand of people get a little lost. You do have to buy in and fill in the blanks yourself. This was a good thriller with some genuine scares in the form of these burned ones. Very solid thriller horror you should put in your queue.
