This was great! I wish I had read it as a child as I had a massive fascination with lone survivors lost on islands.
Mao and Daphne's coming of age story was great and I even loved the kingly bits that were a little jarring from the rest of the story but finally made sense toward the end.
Lots of underlying lessons and worldly questions in this one but the story over all was my favorite."
"Amazing as a young adult book to discuss racism, colonialism and how small actions can make the world a better place. #yafiction "
