"Quick romance read "

"This book was disappointing. At first I was thrown off by the writing style, which was in first person and modeled after a medieval style of speech. Then the characters lacked real depth throughout the story as well. I think this was a Persephone and Hades retelling (which I usually love), but there was no romantic growth or connection. They were just suddenly in love at the end with barely any interaction. There are better retellings out there."
