Salt to the Sea image

Topic: Salt to the Sea

So I just finished Salt to the Sea and oh my gosh. đŸ˜©đŸ˜ I don’t know how a story can be so devastating and so beautiful at the same time. I have now read all of Ruta’s books! If you’re a Ruta fan, how would you rank her books? Which is your favorite out of the ones you’ve read?

Alexis Baugus I loved the ones I have read. 10/10. Although they are all sad.

BreeElla Yes, they all have their sad parts for sure! đŸ˜© The saddest one to me is probably Between Shades of Gray and the least sad is Out of the Easy.

Alexis Baugus @Noelle. Ya, I was supposed to read salt to the sea for my book club, but I didn't because of between Shades of Grey.

Azelyn Klein I'm a huge fan too! I recommend them to everyone. Pre-ordered a paperback copy of I Must Betray You. I think my favorites are Salt to the Sea and Fountains of Silence.

BreeElla I think Salt to the Sea is my new favorite! I just adore Florian and Joana so much. They had such a heartbreaking journey. I Must Betray You is a close second for me. If you haven’t read it yet, you’ll love it!

BreeElla That’s such a good one! I read it a little over a year ago and still think about it. I loved how it highlighted the Russian side of WW2. There’s always so much focus on the Germans, but the Russians committed horrendous atrocities as well.

BreeElla I Must Betray You was amazing! It’s a super close second for my favorite, it’s maybe even a tie. 😅 It was the perfect combination of war torn action, suspense, and mystery!

The musical book lover My favorite was probably “The Fountains of Silence.” It was refreshing to read from a different time period than the usual and the story was very captivating and well-written.
