Erin LYes yes!! This is a great sequel, it improved on all the faults of the first book, and delivered great character development, spicy & satisfying romance, and a well-developed plot with tension and twists. Overall a quick and enjoyable read.

Erin LThis book was a 3.5/5 for me. As others have pointed out, it was pretty predictable, however I think it almost pulled it off because it created this weird, agonizing certainty that the MC was making bad choices 😂. Overall, with the combination of faerie mystery and internally screaming at the MC to not trust certain persons *cough 😒* this book kept me entertained and invested. SPOILERS; I cannot believe that girl bonded with who she did, she is a PrO at jumping through mental hoops to excuse the way he treated her, Ahhhhhhhg. Seriously. He is the definition of possessive, -_-

Erin LI enjoyed this book a decent bit, it was a bit predictable but I enjoyed the world building, the romance, and the mystery of the Ascended. Overall it was entertaining, but I will say the series definitely goes downhill after the first one. (I would rate the 2nd book a 2/5 and I couldn't get past half way on the 3rd). So if you're someone who likes to actually finish series, probably best just to stay away from this one 😅.
