Angela ZhangThe best lawyer show I've ever seen. Compelling and likeable characters in the realm of modern shows (yk, Tamara and Nyla equivalents but better - these are my least fav characters from the Rookie btw). The court scenes like choosing a jury, hearsay, contacting people every 5 minutes for a favor, all kept me on edge. Romance isn't a big part of this show, thankfully. The big part is still this guy's fantastic lawyer skills. Makes me have respect for public defenders who people clown on in real life because of true crime outrage and being on the criminal's side of crime. It's a dangerous and risky profession.
Angela ZhangThe dude version of Mom with Anna Faris and Allison Janney. The grown-up version of what Jennette McCurdy's guidance counselor show could of been.
Angela ZhangNetflix is on the rise with the reverse twist. The doubt of "well they probably didn't do it" that ends with the twist of that they did do it. They did this with the uncut Adolescence and here they do it again. Crazy psychiatrist meets her depressive demise. It's like if Harley Quinn didn't turn into an unhinged mime with colored hair and face tats, and instead died at the hands of her joker.
Angela ZhangThe best guilty pleasure show of all time imo. Hands down absurd dark humor, and iconic moments. Some of my favorite quotes: [With music] "I'm not gay, why would you think I'm gay?" (From S1, Ep5 - my fav one🤎) "I'm guaeyy [gay but over the top southern 🤣]"; *gasp from another character*
Angela ZhangNot a reboot; this is a revival. It feels fresh and youthful, much like some other great modern series that's come out, like Heartstopper and My Life with the Walter Boys. I've seen Bailee Madison when I was a kid in Terabithia, so it's strange to see her grown to around the same age as me. She definitely brings a significance to the show by the vulnerability of Imogen. At some point or another, I hated each Liar in PLL. But for this revival, I do feel for them. Stalking is a real issue and I'm glad they play into the fear factor and not so much the revenge and backstabbing that were the suds of the original soap. I'm going to see season 2 for sure!
