CASSANDRA SOTOI really liked this book, it really held my interest and was hard for me to put down. The story primary follows Naomi and Luca who start out as 5th grade penpals turned penemies. When I tell you this book was so creative, enticing, and fun to read, I really truly mean it. I could not get enough of the hand written letters sent between Naomi and Luca and learning about their beginnings from a dual POV. And then there’s Anne and Jake…don’t even get me started on Jake! I can’t say much for fear of spoiling the book, but just know I loved ALL the characters in Hate Mail. Need me some more from Donna Marchetti!
CASSANDRA SOTOThis was my first Colleen Hoover book and if did not disappoint. It was so good and so hard to put down! I loved Lily’s character right from the start! I felt all the emotions and could empathize with Lily as she overcame the many obstacles that came her way. It was a twisted, exciting and amazing how two people can have such love for each other. But then there’s betrayal and putting others needs before your own but finding the strength to stand up for yourself. What a great read!
CASSANDRA SOTOI’m a newbie to Colleen Hoover books as this is only my 2nd CoHo book, but wow this book kept me on my toes! This is one of those books where there are no true heroes, you don't really fall in love with any specific character, it has a lot of dark undertones and no one is truly "good". This is not your typical romance/feel-good/HEA type of book. It is dark and twisted, with certain details shocking and maybe even a little scary. I would defs recommend reading all the trigger warnings! I love me some romance but hadn’t ventured into thriller/mystery. There is some predictability but the book twists and surprises you in a way that you won't expect. The ending to this book was something I did NOT expect, but something that I could believe, and left me speechless. IFYKYK. I guess you could say you are left to decide how you want to interpret the ending.
CASSANDRA SOTOI love that the book narrates from split character narratives showing his and her perspectives. I also love how the book touches on a very different topics from romance, friendships, heartbreak, family dynamics, body shaming/eating shame, anxiety, shocking moments, setting boundaries, and WARNING…contains very very very spicy scenes. I foolishly was looking for something to read and searched up some booktok without really getting into depth about what this book was really about and how spicy it really was. It did not disappoint however, I was so not prepared for all the spice. Man oh man was this book amazing and was always so hard to put it down!
CASSANDRA SOTOAbsolutely loved this book! This story picks back up where Icebreaker left off at the beginning of summer. Focus is more on Russ and Rory, but loved when members of the group made their cameos. I am so obsessed with how Russ adores and praises Rory and how Rory forces the importance of having good communication. This book has spice but much less than Icebreaker. & Loved the happy endings. *wink wink*
