HannahI’m upset for not reading this book when I got it in 2021. I didn’t think this book would keep me interested, but the pace was perfect - it never dragged one bit. I NEED a sequel tonight! I WILL be reading this again. I cried very hard at the end. You were warned. I was in denial when I finished this book, and I have a video of me on the toilet hours later accepting the ending. This was such a beautiful book, and I will NEVER accept hate on The Grace Year. The subplot of romance was surprising, but I didn’t hate it. 5 stars forever!!! MUST READ!!! •“Your eyes are open, but you see nothing.” •“…rid herself of her sins, start anew.” “What sins? The sin of being born a girl?”
HannahThis book is hauntingly beautiful; and it would be a visually gorgeous film. We read through Constanta’s POV, it’s her story- not only does she get gaslit, but so do we. He will do something that is crossing the boundaries (like bringing in Magdelana) but says things in a such a beautiful way that you start thinking ‘maybe they both want this’ or ‘they were halfway there anyway’. We never know Constanta’s real name; she doesn’t remember it either; he took away her identity the second they met and isolated her. I didn’t know if I’d like this book; I was nervous it wouldn’t keep my interest, but I flew through it. I love the fact that she told us exactly what she needed to, the pace of this book was perfect. I would happily read this again.
Hannah4.321 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My favorite read this month. I needed this so bad. I want moreeeeeee!!! Not too dark (for me). Definitely read this yall. I was blushing, kicking, giggling, jaw hitting the floor and slapping my hand on any surface of my house. I want to read this for the first time again NOW!
HannahI read this in two sittings. I cried MULTIPLE times. Laura knows how to do accidental pregnancy right. I don’t like it usually, but this book will always hold a soft spot in my heart. I loved seeing her work through her grief, but still keep him within her. Angie is actually so great 🫶 I wish we saw Autumn give birth and maybe a year by year of updates with the family. I wish Finny could’ve been there. I wish we could’ve seen him go through med school AND be a father/husband. I’m grieving this damn dude like I knew him. Their story was beautiful, I just wish he was there…
HannahI loved the writing in this book. I was scared I was going to be bored, but I was INTO this. To be honest, this book scares me with the way things are going in this country (US). I know I would be suspicious of every man, even the one I trust, if this happened to me. Everyone needs to read this at least once.
Hannah3.5 stars- I loved this book! I didn’t think I would be a fan of the spider body, but it worked somehow. I really like language barrier and alien meets human. I love when they touch the human in inappropriate places out of pure curiosity not knowing what’s going on. Ivy and Ketahn arguing is so cute!
HannahPimp down, pimp in distress!!! TBH this book p!ssed me off. The last 4 pages P!SSED me off!! I had such a good day until this ruined it! I don’t recommend if you want a light read, this book was all fun and games until the last 10 pages. Stayed up until 5:30 AM to finish this.
Hannah4.93, I loved this book. Some people say it dragged, but I’ve read books that ACTUALLY dragged, and this was not one of them. I can usually call the plot before getting to it, but I didn’t see this, so y’all must be FBI agents or something. Only thing I would change about this book is I want it to be a bit longer. I wish I saw the aftermath and the rest of the cases fallout. I’d reread this book again, and I wouldn’t reread most books. I hate highlighting and writing in books, but I did that for this book. It was so good I wanted to tell someone, so I told the pages.
HannahLoved this book!!! The plot twists were great too!!
