Kerri BonvieTake three. Yes, it has taken me three tries to write this review! Oh, Dante! Oh, Brianna! This book is wonderful! It was such an unexpected, and the perfect book. I feel like I have waited all year for this book…oh wait I have!!! Brianna, what I love about Brianna. She is a feisty, snarky, take no prisoners,(ha ha, because she is the one kidnapped) type of girl. I loved that she was following her dreams even when she had nothing. Brianna had a rough start and had been bounced around in a foster system that didn’t care for her. Yet, she was still determined to make her dreams come true. I absolutely adore her fire and a younger version of myself related to that fire a lot. Dante, oh Dante! Dante is a billionaire art dealer who loves sweets. He leads you to believe he is up to no good in the art world. We already know he’s capable, he kidnapped Brianna for her cakes. Their meet cute was iconic. Inspecting a gorgeous wedding cake at his niece's wedding Dante was caught by Brianna, being too close to the cake she had put all her time, money, and energy into creating. When Dante looks at her his demeanor shifts and I absolutely love that he becomes gooey cake batter over Brianna. I love his determination to make her his, his protectiveness in regards to her, and he becomes an entirely different type of alpha-hole not taking “no” for an answer. I think we all want someone like that in our life. Whether it’s a partner, a friend, a parent grandparent, we all need a hero and sometimes it’s even in ourselves. This book was such a whirlwind and funny. The deal was 60 days and 60 cakes, but that’s a lot of cake so Dante changed the rules. But he didn’t just want her cakes. He knew he loved her instantly when he met her. He wanted to spoil her and Brianna loved every minute of it. The twist was perfect because the bad guy had done some horrible things to many people including Brianna. But did Dante do it? I love when the character you think is bad isn’t really the bad gu

Kerri BonvieAfter reading book 1 Wood You Be Mine, I decided I was committed to this series. There were too many questions left open and I needed the answers for them. Who killed The Gagnons’ dad was a big one. So I got my hands on book 2 and I dove in. Immediately I fell in love with Remy and Hazel. Yes! We learn more about the suspicious things going on in Lovewell and Remy and Hazel have a lot to do with that. It started out as a marriage of convenience. Hazel needed health insurance so she could have her gallbladder removed. Remy needed to prove his self worth to his family, potential sponsors, and to shove it in his nasty ex-fiancés face. What he found while doing this was so much more. He just needed someone to believe in him. I loved how Hazel did that for him. She is like the little engine that could. Hazel is amazing! I love how strong and independent she is. I love that it kills her to ask for help. She is truly remarkable and a bit feisty. I loved watching her try to navigate her life with Remy who she has crushed on since middle school, but never said anything because he is her brother's best friend. She is a multitasking bad@SS and because of her research while writing her thesis to get her doctorate, she uncovered things the Gagnons knew nothing about. I loved this book and I still have so many questions. It’s wild to see what happens when two people believe in each other and help each other. But!!! I need to know more about those Heberts’!! Did they have a hand in killing Remy’s Dad? Are they the ones behind the drug trafficking? I also need more about Richard because in my gut, I believe he knows more than he has said. I can’t wait for book 3.

Kerri BonvieI loved this book, but so much has been left unanswered. I actually can’t wait to read the rest of the series because so many questions have been a bit unanswered. FOMO is real in this series. I love, love, love Alice Watson. She is everything I want to be in life. She is real, strong-willed, determined to meet her career goals no matter what it takes. More importantly she broke away from parents that treated her as the lesser child. I know that feeling and had to do it with one parent. This book was very relatable to me for that reason alone. Alice wasn't afraid to get down and dirty to make a closed off small town love her and make her their own. Including her hot lumberjack landlord. Henri Gagnon is a grumpy lumberjack who is burdened by the family business, and is also dealing with trying to figure out the mystery that his father left behind when he died. He had no time for a relationship with everything on his plate; however, he keeps being drawn to Alice. I love that family Henri puts family first above all else. This book is a must read but be prepared that not all questions will be answered in book one.

Kerri BonvieI can’t believe this is the end of The Men of Hidden Justice series. We knew Egan was coming but I never expected to be melted with his love, his passion, and the alpha’s romantic side. He has always loved Sophia and he was always persistent in his pursuit of her. She just was never ready. Sophia has her own baggage. In books 1-4 all the men characters were all Alpha males but extremely rough around the edges cavemen. Egan is the polar opposite. His confidence is beyond sexy and the gentle way he takes care of Sophia is heart meltingly romantic. But not in a “make me puke” way. He is an alpha protector when needed but loving, Romanian, teddy bear when he wasn’t trying to evade his past catching up to him. I love Sophia. She is a strong female character that after all she has endured in the past decides to finally follow her heart and take the leap of faith. Their road together is a topsy-turvy one but it has a happily ever after. There is also an epic epilogue you don’t want to miss. Melanie brings all The Men of Hidden Justice full circle for us and when I finished this book I had a smile on my face. I will re-read these books again. These characters have been tattooed on my heart.

Kerri BonvieI have enjoyed this series and book four didn’t disappoint. Damien and Raven are an amazing story that goes through a lot of dips and dives. Damien who was the behind the scenes tech guy with the Men of Hidden Justice catches Raven who runs literally into his arms fleeing from someone. Raven has no idea who just saved her from a man who may be a little unhinged. The story is engaging and made me ask myself several times, WTF? I needed answers and I got them. I don’t if they were what I was expecting because, ummm, WOW! WOW! WOW! That's all I have friends. Damien is an amazingly fierce protector! Raven is a strong woman who keeps him in check, which I truly love. She won’t be pushed around by him and I was here for it.

Kerri BonvieOh my goodness this book. I won this in ARC giveaway and opened it to read immediately and finished it at 2 this morning! I LOVE Julian! He is just an alpha male running the show, He protects his inner circle with a fierness like no other. I love Tally too. Their intense connection is, well, intense. It makes you want that in your life. They go through so much in this story. This story brings all the feels. There is love and loss. They have a complex relationship and I found myself asking how it would end. And did I love JuJuBe. The ending was incredible. Just when you think it can't get any worse it does. Read this series, it doesn't disappoint.
