Juliet Shalu Castillo@emily_calkins Goodness, you are now beginning to inundate my endless TBR. 🤣😂 Yay!!
Emily CalkinsWhat a treat! Georgie and Levi are both so lovable with voices that feel like talking to a friend. If you like Emily Henry or Ali Hazelwood, this is a must-read!
Emily CalkinsLeigh Bardugo is such a master - this is excellent on every level. The world building is rich and unique. The plot is hugely complex, but all the pieces come together in the end. The characters are wonderful, nuanced and deeply flawed and yet you can’t help root for them. I love this series and I’m not even mad that this ended with another cliffhanger. Excellent audio, too, if that’s your thing.
NihiIs this a good book? I have seen it in a lot of libraries.
Emily CalkinsI’m not much of a nonfiction reader, but I thought this was excellent. It starts as a fascinating and accessible history of the Troubles, then morphs into a really interesting exploration of history, memory, and how people document atrocities. And then it ends with a perfect little true crime stinger. Just really well done.
Melissa CraverThanks for your comments. I really want to watch this and I love when something is done well and the family drama scenes seem like the screenwriters could have been spying on your own family they are so spot on but since this was advertised as a comedy, I was expecting escapism and not a tense drama. I’ll either prepare to watch when I’m in that mood or fast forward as suggested!
