Isla JimenezI loved this book, it’s not a hallmark love story or totally a love story at all. It’s about a teenage girl and her family. I loved how it was “Joey’s story” but not really. It focuses a lot on him but you also see Emmy’s story too. I love that it’s from her perspective, like she’s telling us joeys story but also her thoughts through it all. It was just very interesting.
Isla JimenezI literally read this book in 4 days (my record before was a month-) and it’s my favorite still. It’s so well written and I could relate to Charlie so much. I just finished freshman year so I was around the same age as him when I read it, me now being his age at the end of the book. It shows the messiness of this age.
Isla JimenezI binged this in 10 days, it was so intriguing. The ending felt a bit rushed and as though there were some loose ends but overall good.

(‼️slight spoiler‼️) This book is so well written and unique. I just finished it at 12:01 (currently 12:38) and I can’t stop crying. It’s so full of emotion. It makes me cry just thinking about how hard Charlie’s life is, and how he’s treated for acting the way he does, when he acts that way because of how he was treated as a child for something that was not his fault. It’s such a good read.#tearjerkers #unique
Isla JimenezThis book is so well written and unique. The ending happens so fast and it leaves you crying for hours after you finish it. I loved this book, I got hooked on the first page and not once did I think “I’m bored” when I was reading this. It was a wonderful read and very emotional.
