MackenzieAn underrated S.E Hinton book but I would recommend reading it online because the actual layout of the book is horrendous it made me feel like I was reading a child’s book. But the actual writing was impeccable and it scratches a part of me that I didn’t know had been itching you can only know as much as rusty does and it’s so good. It also hurts me to say that it did lack a lot and I do believe that there where part that where not needed. It’s a good quick read and did make me cry ( I’m also a crybaby so take that as you will ) it had potential and I’m sad that it didn’t live up to it.
MackenzieAnother amazing S.E Hinton book truly I must admit it was a little slow at the start but when it did pick up it was really good. The ending was satisfying but definitely threw me for a loop ( I cried ) and it was a little long but it was needed. The writing and metaphors were very smooth. Just a beautiful book of growing up to fast and we get to see the moment where Texas no longer is a boy and how he views himself and the others around him. I also love to look at how he talked about mason in the beginning of the novel to the end. Just a great book!!
