It all started with a pinky swear...Linden McGregor is tall, rugged, and gunslinger handsome; a helicopter pilot with a Scottish brogue and charm to spare. He's also one of Stephanie Robson's best friends and has fit into that box for as long as she's known him. Beautiful, funny and an ambitious businesswoman (with one hell of an ass), Stephanie Robson is one of Linden McGregor's best friends and has fit into that box for as long as he's known her. But some relationships can't be boxed, can't be classified, can't be tamed. Back in their mid-twenties and tired of the competitive hit-or-miss dating scene of San Francisco, Steph and Linden made a pact to marry each other if neither one of them were in a serious relationship by the time they hit thirty. It sounded like fun and games at the time but as the years to thirty tick past and lovers come and go out of their lives, the pact becomes larger than life. Sex is inevitable. Friendships are tested. Hearts are on the line. The pact is about to change everything.

"<strong>Best friends to lovers</strong><br/><br/>This is that type of romance where you want to shake your head for the first 1/3 of the book because the connection between the characters is so obvious. That being said I liked the build up and the back story it made the live between Steph and Linden believable and gave a depth to them. Throw in a third best friend that is also the ex-boyfriend and you get a triangle that is bound to crash and burn. Enjoyed this read despite some frustration with characters choices at times."

"<strong>Good</strong><br/><br/>I loved linden and Stephanie but some of the things they did were dumb. I just thought that linden was very dumb sometimes"

"<strong>Fun adult romance</strong><br/><br/>After reading a few duds, I'm excited to have found this one. It was fun, lighthearted (for the most part) and sexy. Who doesn't love a sexy Scot? Reading through the years since they made the pact was fun and interesting and none of this felt boring. Timing and luck are fickle creatures. This was well worth the read and I'll be checking out other books from this author."
