Isabella D'IncognitoI might be a little biased just because I love the author so much (big fan of the podcast, and that’s how I heard about the book) but genuinely, it’s amazing. The female main character is fierce and exciting and full of…well, character, which can be hard to find as a teen reader nowadays. There’s the right amount of mystery and suspense, and the author’s existing knowledge of forensics adds a great scientific and educational element. The writing, humor level, and descriptions helps it to feel like a real experience; it was a very immersive read. My only complaint may have been the length—I finished it so quick!!! 100% recommend this book, especially if you are a listener of the morbid podcast, and very much looking forwards to the sequel.
Isabella D'IncognitoThis book did not scare me, but it was an extremely entertaining read. The main spook I kind of found a little funny, but the writing is great and I read through it pretty quickly. I love the main character, too. If you’re looking for something to scare your pants off, then unless puppets really get to you, this isn’t it. But! If you’re looking for a fun time with some suspense and a little humor?? This is the perfect book!
Isabella D'IncognitoIt was a great book! I liked her first series better, as I felt the female main character had more depth to her, but overall, it was enjoyable. The romance aspect was pretty decent and the world building was nothing too complex but easy to grasp. A great book if you’re looking for a fun fantasy read.
