Thoughts on this movie? It’s been on my watchlist for years but I always avoid it for some reason… i see it’s on HBO Max so I’m trying to decide if I should watch it.

After finishing The Penguin I can confidently say it’s the best show of 2024. Besides ShoGun I’m not sure it’s any other shows that come close this year.

Ummm... what?? I was confused through the whole movie. I enjoy artsy films, but this was a little too artsy. The filming was gorgeous, but unfortunately that is the only positive I have for it. The acting was monotone, the storyline was confusing, and it was overall BORING. I don't recommend this movie, but if you want to see a slow paced psychological thriller, then I guess this is an option.

Such a classic! Kathy Bates is incredible in this! She plays such a good crazy lunatic. My only negative on the movie is the pig... I understand that it's in there to show just how obsessed she is with his books, but the pig doesn't add anything to the story other than that. Besides that one little critique, I think this movie is great from start to finish. I hope there is never a remake of it. Misery needs to stay untouched. It is perfect the way it is!

(German Film) This is one of the most disturbing movies I've seen in a long time! The filming was fantastic from beginning to end. The way the sound track worked was brilliant (even though the music was not my favorite). The acting was above the bar! There was never a dull moment. And THE TWIST. I won't be letting anyone borrow eggs from me. I 100% recommend watching Funny Games (it is not for the faint of heart).

does anyone else feel like this was renewed for the algorithm and not for actual humans as I haven't seen a single good review of this show anywhere. I mean seriously how does a show with a 1.6 out of 10 imbd rating get renewed? yet all the shows we love get cancelled due to low ratings. something weird is going on in the industry for sure.

OK season 1 was brilliant but I never got thru seasons 2 & 3. Now on S4 Ep 2. So I literally laughed out loud right at the start and pretty sure I wasn’t meant to. The first ep was ok but this one just keeps going from bad to worse. Couldn’t even finish it! I’m so disappointed as I was crazy excited about Jodie Foster redeeming this show for me. But even she is not good in this. Please tell me..is it me? Am I alone in this?!!! Should I keep trying? Aghhhhh 😖😖😖
